The core of toroidal transformer is wound with no more than 0.03mm thick silicon steel tape and then wind copper wire on it, to make the direction of magnetic lines of force which generated by the coil was coincided with magnetic circuit of core completely.

Comparing to the EI laminated transformer, the excitation energy and core loss can reduce about 25-40%. The core of toroidal transformer was wound with silicon steel tape. It has a continuous magnetic circuit. But EI laminated transformer has gap between E and I. Gap is the disadvantage for EI laminated transformer. There is no gap for toroidal core and core is impregnated with vacuum technology in process. To make the core become as a strong whole, thereby to reduce the vibration and noise.
